A migration overwrites the destination database and files with the source. Always use a fresh/empty destination, or keep a backup first.
You can Resume a failed job from your history without spending another credit. If a credit was used in error, an admin can adjust your quota.
You never give us your main password — only a WordPress Application Password, which you can revoke any time. It is encrypted during the job and deleted afterward.
