WpMation connects to your source and destination sites using a WordPress Application Password — a special password that works with the REST API without exposing your main login. You need one for each site (source and destination).
Log in to the site's wp-admin, then go to Users → Profile (or Users → All Users → your user → Edit).
Scroll to the Application Passwords section near the bottom of the profile page. (Requires WordPress 5.6+ over HTTPS. If you don't see it, your host may have disabled it — a plugin like "Application Passwords" can re-enable it.)
Type a name like WpMation and click Add New Application Password. WordPress shows a password like abcd EFGH ijkl MNOP. Copy it exactly (spaces are fine).
In the migration form, enter the site URL, your WordPress username, and paste this Application Password into the Application Password field. Repeat for the destination site.
No. WpMation reads from the source and writes to the destination — your live source site stays online the whole time.
A migration overwrites the destination's database and files with the source. Always use a fresh/empty destination, or keep a backup before migrating.
A credit is consumed when a job starts. If a job fails you can Resume it from your history without spending another credit. If you believe a credit was used in error, contact an administrator who can adjust your quota.
Visit the pricing page and request a plan. Our team activates paid plans manually for now, and your quota updates automatically once approved.
New sign-ups are reviewed by an administrator before they can run migrations. You'll be able to sign in and start once your account is activated.
You never give us your main password — only an Application Password, which you can revoke any time from WordPress. It is encrypted while the job runs and deleted afterward.
