Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
This policy explains what data WpMation collects and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account data: your name, email address, and a hashed (never plaintext) password.
- Migration data: source and destination site URLs and the WordPress credentials you enter for a job. Credentials are encrypted while the job runs and deleted afterward.
- Usage data: migration history (sites, status, timestamps) and basic logs needed to operate and troubleshoot the Service.
How we use it
- To run and monitor your migrations.
- To manage your account, quota, and plan.
- To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, account notices).
- To secure the Service (e.g. rate-limiting abusive requests).
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Migration credentials are used solely to connect to the sites you specify and are not shared with third parties.
Retention
Job credentials are removed after a migration completes. Account and history data are kept while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.
Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, sessions use secure cookies, and sensitive credentials are AES-256 encrypted at rest during a job. No method is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
